Here you will find vintage panel and spot designs that were used in unique applications common in the Arts & Crafts Movement and larger designs that are suitable for taller ceilings and portieres. The Stickley Spots are an original design from Gustav Stickley’s Craftsman magazine.
Dimensions for each stencil in our on-line catalog include the actual height of the stencil image and the length of the repeat (with the exception of the Spot and Panel designs – the dimension for these designs include the actual height and width of the stencil image). Overlays are often used not only for color separation (although you can use more than one color in a single overlay to create beautiful blending), but to add strength to the stencil plate. Our stencils are single overlays unless noted. The larger designs include registration marks to make the alignment easy (Spot/Panel designs do not contain registration marks since they are applied as a spot of design rather than a border). Simple instructions are included in every order. For reference, Paintstik® colors used in the samples along with the suggested stencil brush size for that color, follow the dimensions, but are not included in the price of the stencil.
Larger Stencils – these designs are 9″ in height or more. Como Square & Celeste in the Geometric stencils, 9″ Rose & Bellflower in the Floral stencils and 9.75″ White Pine in the Earthy stencil section are also considered larger designs.
