Mastering the Scary Stencil (the Essential class)
A great way to become familiar with stenciling, this fun class will allow you to vanquish your stenciling inhibitions! Covering the fundamentals and with plenty of helpful hints and personal attention, this hands-on workshop will teach you the various techniques used on walls, curtains & table linens often found in Arts & Crafts period homes. You'll be amazed at what you can create!

Simple Faux Finishing
This hands-on class teaches you some simple techniques that anyone can do to beautify any bungalow room. These finishes alsoprovide a lovely background to stencil on top of. Cost includes all materials to work with and you keep your sample boards. Class runs approx. 3 hrs and is subject to change.

Create a festive textile for your home with a new holiday Arts & Crafts period stencil design we'll be creating just for this class. WORKSHOP INFORMATION
We offer a variety of hands on classes and locations for you. Sign up for one we have scheduled or consider arranging a private workshop for you and a few friends. (click for more info on private classes)
PAID REGISTRATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE FOR ALL WORKSHOPS.

Our new website will allow you to register on line, but for now registration for classes has to be done the old fashion way. Assume you are enrolled unless you hear from us or please call for confirmation.
WORKSHOPS AT OUR STUDIO IN ELLSWORTH, WI
Located at 214 W. Main St. in Ellsworth, WI, our studio is a cozy & comfortable environment for our hands-on workshops. Easy to find and less than an hour drive from the Twin Cities area, we are nestled in the heart of the Mississippi River valley. Plenty of charming little river towns over-flowing with unique shops, delectable restaurants and of course, beautiful scenery give you a plethora of things to do before or after your class. If you are coming from out of town and need a place to bed down for the night, request one of our "Out & About" brochures featuring fun places to stay, visit or simply make the most of your time while you're visiting us. TWIN CITIES AREA PRIVATE WORKSHOPS
We realize our planned classes don't always fit into your schedule, so here's a great new way to make our workshops work for you! With as few as four people, you can host a private class at your home and we'll come to you. A fun, easy and relaxing way to learn about stenciling, this also makes a unique gift idea for family & friends. With plenty of options for workshops, classes start at just $75 per person (min. 4) and run about 2-1/2 hrs. (Additional time for set up and break down will add about and hour to the overall time needed to host class). Please contact us with any questions you may have.
IT'S EASY - all you have to do is gather a few friends together; select a class and choose a date - we'll set up everything for you!
IT'S CONVENIENT - we come to you and fit into your schedule; we'll supply all the materials to work with, even tables and chairs if necessary.
IT'S ECONOMICAL - this isn't your average "home party", no high pressure sales or pushy recruiting. We simply provide product samples and offer a 10% discount on any orders placed at the class, should you wish to do so.
Like the idea of a private workshop, but not necessarily at your house? Reserve our studio in Ellsworth! You'll save at least $5-10 per person when you reserve our studio for your workshop (and reap additional benefits as well). We'll help you organize a delightful day with your friends by starting off with a morning class. Afterwards enjoy an afternoon of antiquing and unique shops in our nearby river towns; or a perhaps a simple Great River Road drive and an excellent meal is more appealing.
We also have a small studio in Minneapolis that can be reserved upon request. There are many options to consider, call us and we'll set up something special just for
you!
HERE'S A SAMPLE OF OUR WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS:

- MASTERING THE SCARY STENCIL (THE ESSENTIAL CLASS)A great way to become familiar with stenciling, this class covers the fundamentals, offers helpful hints and includes hands-on experience with various techniques used on walls, curtains & table linens often found in Arts & Crafts period homes. Cost includes all materials
to work with. About 2-1/2 hrs.
- STENCILING YOUR BUNGALOW IN A MATERIAL WORLD
A fun workshop that gives you the opportunity to learn about stenciling fabrics. This class is offered a couple of different ways - either with a variety of materials to work on (thus providing a better education), or the option of stenciling a textile, like a runner or guest towels, to take home. Cost may vary depending on which option is chosen, but will include all materials to work with. About 2-1/2 hrs.
- SIMPLE FAUX FINISHING - This hands-on class teaches you some simple techniques that anyone can do, will beautify any bungalow room and can also be stenciled on top of. Cost includes all materials to work with and you keep your sample boards. Class runs about 3 hrs and is subject to change.
- COLOR YOUR WORLD - Do you consider yourself "color challenged"? Or would you simply like to learn a little more about how to make pigments work well together? Than this class is for you! Learn how hues can effect you and how to select and coordinate colors for your specific environment. You will actually create your own color wheel and have fun learning how to custom match colors in this fascinating hands-on workshop. Depart with a whole new outlook on how to add a little pizzazz to your world. Bring something you would like to match in color. Cost includes all materials
to work with. About 2-1/2 hrs.
- CUT ABOVE THE REST; CREATING YOUR OWN STENCIL Learn the secrets of designing and cutting your own stencil (and do it). Bring a small image you would like to make into a stencil and we'll supply the tools and materials you'll need to get the task done. Cost includes all materials to work with and you keep the stencil you cut. About 2-1/2 hrs.
- PROJECT CLASSES - These classes will vary according to the project being worked on. Most will consist of stenciling some form of fabric such as a runner, pillow or perhaps something unique like a journal or photo album. Lots of options and guaranteed to be fun. Class length and fee will vary.
